The design of this development, which is comprised of workforce housing and a community center, alludes to the historic agricultural buildings of the Sacramento Valley. The 78 homes are sited around the community center, maximizing the green open space.
Two previous design teams tried for approvals and failed. Hilliard Architects was the third and successful team. We achieved consensus through neighborhood outreach meetings as well as personal one-on-one meetings with adjacent neighbors. We gained sufficient neighborhood support to receive approvals from Davis Planning Commission and the Davis City Council.
