Hilliard Architects has grown and evolved over the past 28 years and we felt it was time for a new look. We’re excited to announce the launch of our new logo.
What if your project ends up leaking, what could that cost you or your client? How about $6 million in damages and a $1.5 million settlement! That should scare every architect in the room.
This is big news for any entity in California with public single-occupancy bathrooms. California law AB 1732 was signed into law on Sept. 29, 2016 and will require single-occupancy restrooms in California businesses, government buildings, and places of public accommodation to be universally accessible to all genders starting March 1, 2017.
Congratulations to our co-founder, Mike Hilliard, for passing the rigorous CASp (Certified Access Specialist) exam! A CASp is a professional licensed with the State of California who can determine if a part of the built environment is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
We had a blast celebrating our 28th Anniversary! A delicious repast was enjoyed at Lake Chalet restaurant on lovely Lake Merritt. Since moving to Oakland in 2015, we’re having fun discovering many wonderful things about the city! http://on.fb.me/1VRaWeJ
