The 1950’s building was modified to comply with accessibility requirements. Construction was completed while keeping the facility operating at full capacity.
The commercial kitchen restructure provided a food prep area plus accessible sink and counter space for cooking projects. Adult toilet rooms were replaced.
The exterior entrance was modified and a new entry door installed. The electrical system was upgraded to power computers in the learning center.
The roof and windows had been leaking for years. After assessing existing conditions, the roof system was corrected:
- Removed the old brick chimney, rooftop electrical conduit
- Altered the roof slope
- Specified new flashing and more appropriate roofing material.
